Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before booking any experience with Venture South Safaris (“we”, “us”, “our”). By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, which are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

1. Booking & Confirmation

  • All bookings must be made in writing or via our online booking form.

  • A deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking. Final payment is due 30 days before the start date.

  • Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit and a written confirmation from Venture South Safaris.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days before the trip will receive a full refund of the deposit, minus a 10% admin fee.

  • Cancellations made 30–59 days before the trip will receive a 50% refund of the total package.

  • Cancellations within 30 days of the start date are non-refundable.

  • No refunds are given for early departures or unused services.

Note: We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellations, delays, and emergencies.

3. Pricing & Inclusions

  • Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed.

  • Packages typically include accommodation, meals, guided experiences, permits, and transport during the trip.

  • Exclusions may include airfare, visa fees, alcohol, tips, and optional activities unless otherwise stated.

4. Assumption of Risk

Participation in hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities involves inherent risks. By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with:

  • Dangerous game and wild environments

  • Physical exertion, remote locations, and unpredictable weather

  • Travel delays, injury, illness, or equipment failure

You agree to participate at your own risk and to release Venture South Safaris, its staff, partners, and guides from any liability for loss, injury, or damages incurred during your experience, except in cases of gross negligence.

5. Firearms, Permits & Legal Compliance

  • All hunting activities are conducted legally and ethically, in accordance with South African law and conservation practices.

  • Clients bringing their own firearms must obtain the appropriate temporary import permits (SAPS 520).

  • We assist with permitting and compliance but are not responsible for customs or police delays.

6. Health, Insurance & Medical Conditions

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit to travel and participate in booked activities.

  • You are strongly advised to carry comprehensive travel and medical insurance including cover for evacuation and emergency treatment.

  • Any medical conditions or allergies must be disclosed to us prior to the trip.

7. Children & Family Policy

Children are welcome on most safaris and experiences; however, certain hunting or high-risk activities may have age restrictions for safety reasons. Please consult us when booking a family trip.

8. Force Majeure

Venture South Safaris shall not be held liable for any failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, civil unrest, travel bans, or pandemic-related disruptions.

9. Use of Photos and Media

Unless otherwise requested in writing, we may use photos or video taken during your experience for marketing purposes, including our website and social media. We respect your privacy and will never sell or share your personal data without consent.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your booking shall be governed by South African law and subject to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court of George, Western Cape.
